A new law went into effect on January 1 which holds porn sites accountable for content deemed ‘harmful to minors if they do not implement age verification technology. A new law in Louisiana makes it illegal for porn sites to publish or distribute content that is deemed ‘harmful to minors’ without installing age verification.
What if this becomes a trend in many States/countries? Would you still watch porn? Would that increase content piracy? What would the government do with that data?
What would you do?
Pornhub is currently requiring identity verification for users accessing the site from a Louisiana-based IP address, while other major adult sites, including XVideos and XHamster, still remain accessible from Louisiana and have not yet implemented age checks.
OnlyFans’ site is not loading properly when accessed from a Louisiana IP according to Vice.
Legislators in a number of US states have declared pornography to be public health crisis.
Opinion
So porn is a problem, but songs like WAP and other Cardi B, Bad Bunny and the rest of the glorified BUMS that call themselves artist and could not even make it out of a Spelling Bee alive are promoting their shitty songs and videos?

Republicans in a nutshell. (and all far-right wing parties arround the world)
They try hard to sell the image of moralists when many are involved in sex scandals envolving minors aka pedophilia (Matt Gaetz (US) and Gabriel Monteiro (Brazil))
The new porn law “Act 440”, had bipartisan support and passed almost unanimously in both the House & Senate. The new age verification technology goes through a third-party verification site called AllPassTrust, users need to connect their state digital ID or driver’s license through LAWallet, Louisiana’s digital driver’s license platform. On December 14 2022 ,In Washington, D.C., Sen. Mike Lee of Utah introduced a bill that would similarly require age verification, but on a national level. Advocates and politicians for UK’s Online Safety Bill which has yet to be implemented will be watching this one with great interest.
Porn is hardly a problem lol
This law is so dumb – the same voter base is the first to complain about paper masks, but they would never admit to watching porn because of repressed feelings.
