Lana Rhoades, appeared on one of those 1 million podcasts out there insinuating that getting paid 1,200 bucks for a shoot was peanuts. This woman judges it that way to get symphathy, because sadly now with onlyfans, some gooners pay 10 bucks for a subscription and 20 bucks for shitty 1 minute video. Lana’s ignorance or narcissim, and victim complex makes her put under the rug the reality of producing content before Onlyfans and stupid collabs were a thing.
According to Rhoades, @My rate was higher because I was a more in-demand girl than other girls. Other girls would probably get $800 for a sex scene, I would get $1,200 for a sex scene. “And if you would ask for more than $1,200, like you would be considered a diva, and like people would talk shit about you.” “I personally feel that that was a way to manipulate the girls into working for cheaper…” “There were a lot of subliminals with directors or your agent purposely talking shit about girls in that way in front of you so that you wouldn’t dare to like speak up for yourself or ask for more.” “They’d just make fun of girls that would ask for more, closer to what they’re worth. I mean, having sex for $1,500 even is crazy.”
Let’s remember that Lana debuted for FTV girls, and got fucked in the ass in her first shoot. After that she threw Pierre Woodman under the bus, taking advantage of the bad reputation Woodman had, to look like a victim. PW released the unedited version, proving she was lying. The damage was done, and many model agencies blacklisted woodman soon after (not that he was a saint, but in this one, he was not lying). Lana moved on to several questioning behaviour. Lana takes advantage of the lack of knowledge of business/producer business model and makes it seem as it was everyone’s fault. I will put it in contest
The burger joint example
If you want to open a burger joint, you pay the lease of the place and sign a coutract. If you sell 10 buergers per day or 500, is your risk. The leaser should not charge you because he thinks burgers are a good business, and charge more than what lease prices are. People can buy other burgers, or tacos, or chinesses etc. It is the burger joint owner risk. Same here, it is a producers risk to make money with the videos. A producer has several costs, adn back in the day, before stupid gooners were paying 100 bucks for non-topless photos, getting to sell a 30-day membership, and pornhub-like piracy was damaging business.
The Cost of doing business
Now let”s explain the business size of it. A producer could have been just a guy filing POV, or a producer hiring a male actor, or acting himself, plus a camera man. Many times you had a make-up artist, for porn videos. Bigger production sites had a whole crew. So, the model is not the only cost to produce a video.
The subscription used to be 30 bucks per month. And in a month you had to provide to subscribers at least 4 videos per month. So just in hiring a girl for porn, you had over 4K in model fees. Add location and flights if you paid for the girl to travel. Unless she was touring or in town. Also add the crew wages for 4, as you need 4 videos.
The subscription used to be 30/bucks. You paid affiliates between 30% to 50%. You had to pay credit card processing and compliance, usually managed by another compny. So net you have 30%, This means that your variable cost was 21 bucks. You got 9 US dollars that multiplied the number of subscribers should pay for the 1.2K Lana talks about TIMES 4 girls, for a weekly video, plus crew expenses. After that, you have to pay income tax, assuming you do not have a salary and only rely on profit.
So with 9 bucks, you needed 1000 subscribers. to get 9,000 USD to cover for over 5,000 model cost and very low crew expenses, so you got 4,000 a month to pay taxes on.
Back in the day, people were not that stupid to pay to a girl to just say hi on DM, or an Indian chatter to send you a message used for copy/paste for all their clients.
You also had to deal with piracy. This is the reason why Merilyn Sakova, who spent her money on Anya Busty.com failed. Making money as a producer was not a good business 10 or 20 years ago. Most websites had at best 500 subscribers in the mid 2010s. Phil boasts he made a lot from Ewa Sonnet and Xenia Woods. The truth no boobs producer business tells you is that producing boobs content is not their sole source of income.
Nowadays I see morons online bragging about being top 4% on OF making 10,000 a month for titfuck content and thinking he is god sent to tits love. Junior, life is easy now with overrated talent and not paying a girl for a shoot, and just getting 20% cut off your price. Back in the day, when I started I was self conscious about my technical skills, but now fans are happy with low light phone videos.
So Lana Rhoades, if you wanna have a happy life, just move on and shut up.
